Solving legal problems throughout WNY

Founding Partner
Sunil Bakshi is a lifelong resident of Amherst, New York, and a 1994 graduate of Albany Law School who has practiced DWI law for more than 25 years.
Mr. Bakshi is highly respected throughout the Western New York legal community. He has served as President of the Park Country Club and has been recognized by the Amherst Drug Court and Therapeutic Foundation for his involvement in the court and the assistance he has provided to clients and the community. He is also active in local government, having served as Vice Chairman of the Town of Amherst Youth and Recreation Commission.
Mr. Bakshi brings genuine care and compassion to his clients, combined with top-notch professionalism. He responds quickly to issues and goes the extra step to make sure things are not only handled correctly, but that problems are solved for the long run. With extensive experience in all of the courts of Western New York, and particularly in Amherst, his command of DWI law and DMV regulation gives clients an advantage few other attorneys in the region can match.
Over more than two decades, Mr. Bakshi has built the firm’s reputation on focused DWI and DMV work. He has authored articles on DWI-related issues and DMV regulations published by the Erie County Bar Association, advising other practitioners on the intricacies of this constantly evolving area of law. That depth of knowledge means he can spot issues in a chemical test, a traffic stop, or a refusal hearing that less experienced attorneys may overlook.
Mr. Bakshi believes that an informed client is a confident client. Rather than asking you to simply trust your lawyer, he takes the time to explain the law, your options, and the likely outcomes so you understand every decision in your case. He keeps a flexible schedule, returns calls promptly, and responds quickly when an arrest cannot wait.
From the Amherst Town Court to Buffalo City Court and the many town and village courts of Erie and Niagara Counties, Mr. Bakshi knows how each court operates and what each judge expects. He has guided countless clients, many facing the justice system for the very first time, through DWI arrests, DMV refusal hearings, criminal charges, and license revocations, always with the goal of protecting their record, their license, and their future.
